Flint Growing Up

The elevator pitch competition videos were delivered earlier this week and we had a great interview shoot (2 people sharing their memories, which turned out to be a lively exchange) in Flint for the punk documentary.

Team Foust/LaRue is moving to LA at the end of the month and will be out there next week to find a fabulous new home, so that will leave about 1 week of filming time in Flint.  As expected, the storyline is growing organically as we talk with people about those golden hall show days and how the experience has carried into life today for them.  Joel, in particular, gave us a lot of food for thought regarding Flint’s evolution and we’ve realized what a compelling story that is.  So, we’re looking to get him on camera again,  talking about the positive community development going on, including Flint Local 432, the local band venue he runs.  We’re also working on scheduling shoots with 3-4 other people (mad props to Joel for brainstorming on this) who can help connect the dots from then to now.   It’s good stuff, and Studio Freshh likes to tell positive stories about people working to improve the world, so it’s a natural fit.
