This week we were back in Flint so Jeph could talk more extensively with Al Steel, owner of Wyatt Earp Records which played a major role in fostering the local punk scene back in the day (’80s.) Read about it in Jeph’s Field Notes. I enjoyed browsing through the vinyl collection and was pleasantly surprised to see that Willie Nelson has an album called Somewhere over the Rainbow (being Dorothy, that song, and the larger themes it embodies, are near and dear to me.) His version of the title song is nice, in that soft weathered leather kind of way.
