On a recent walk around a nature area, I brought the X-Pro1 with a Vivitar 28mm f2.8 Minolta lens. The morning was quite foggy, so of course I went with a color film simulation recipe to get the most out of the landscape. This recipe has a custom white balance set with a R3, B-4 shift. I captured these photos with auto shutter speed I have been experimenting with exposure compensation as well, and here I have it set +2/3 to wash it out a bit without going too far. Here’s the film sim recipe I used.
- ISO: 400
- Dynamic Range: DR200
- Film Simulation: Provia Standard
- White Balance: Custom – R3 B-4
- Color: -2
- Sharpness: -1
- Highlight: -1
- Shadow: -1
- Noise Reduction: -1
These photos aren’t going to win any awards, but that’s not the point of this series of posts. One thing it did show me is that I need to clean some dust off of the sensor.
